I LOVE Family Fun magazine, it's got oodles of ideas for bored kids! Here's the recipe we used:

We had to play around a bit with the amount of cornstarch, but finally got a nice texture -- and good thing Abba just cleaned out his bin of computer parts, had a good collection of screws and other things to use as accessories!
